У 1983 році з відзнакою закінчив Кіровоградське медичне училище ім..Є.О.Мухіна, за спеціальністю «фельдшер». У тому ж році вступив на лікувальний факультет Полтавського медичного стоматологічного інституту. С 1984 по 1986 проходив строкову військову службу.
Після закінчення інституту в 1991 році проходив інтернатуру на базі травматологічного відділення та відділення кістково-гнійної хірургії Кіровоградської обласної лікарні. Після закінчення інтернатури працював лікарем-травматологом поліклініки, травмпункта та травматологічного відділення міської лікарні м. Полтави та лікарні швидкої допомоги м.Кіровограда. З 1996 по 1998 рік навчався в клінічній ординатурі в Київській медичній академії післядипломної освіти по програмі підготовки медичного резерву Міністерства Охорони здоров’я для роботи в закордонних країнах.
З 1998 по 2001 р. навчався в аспірантурі в Інституті травматології та ортопедії АМН України. Із 2001 року обраний за конкурсом на посаду молодшого наукового співробітника, а з 2007 року – старшого наукового співробітника відділу реабілітації інституту. Робота полягала в наданні консультативної амбулаторної та стаціонарної допомоги та проведенні реабілітаційних заходів у хворих ортопедо-травматологічного профілю. За час роботи у відділі реабілітації оволодів усіма методами відновного лікування. Брав участь у виконанні науково-дослідних робіт, оформленні наукової документації.
В 2006 р. захистив дисертацію за темою: «Кінезотерапія хворих на остеохондроз поперекового відділу хребта», та в березні 2007 р. отримав диплом кандидата медичних наук за спеціальністю «Ортопедія та травматологія».
З 2009 року по 2022р обіймав посаду завідувача лабораторії біомеханіки Інституту травматології та ортопедії НАМН України. Робота полягала у проведенні консультативної роботи, біомеханічних дослідженнях хворих ортопедо-травматологічного профілю, кінезотерапії та біомеханічної корекції захворювань та деформацій опорно-рухового апарату, виконанні експериментальних та дослідних робіт у рамках підготовки пошукачів до захисту докторських та кандидатських дисертаційних робіт. Був членом проблемної комісії Інституту по захисту дисертацій.
З 2022 року по 2024 р. працював на посаді наукового співробітника Лабораторії біомеханіки Східно-баварського університета прикладних наук (OTH Regensburg) за контрактом. Виконував проектну роботу з наукових досліджень в напрямку м’язово-скелетного моделювання.
З 2023 року по 2024 р. працював на посаді заступника директора з наукової роботи Науково-дослідного інституту травматології та ортопедії ДНМУ. Брав участь у виконанні науково-дослідних робіт, оформленні наукової документації.
Є дійсним членом Європейської спілки біомеханіків (ESB), спілки біомеханіків Німеччини (DGFB) та Асоціації ортопедів-травматологів України (УАОТ). Включений у базу даних експертів Українського інституту науково-технічної експертизи та інформації з аналізу науково-технічних робіт, рецензентів наукових журналів “CURRENT MEDICAL IMAGING” та “TECHNOLOGY AND HEALTH CARE”.
За весь термін наукової роботи опублікував більш 200 наукових праць. В тому числі є автором 10 патентів на корисну модель, 6 методичних рекомендацій та співавтором 5 монографій.
Багаторазово приймав участь в роботі науково-практичних конференцій, конгресів, з’їздів та симпозіумів як в Україні, так і за кордоном. Проходив курси навчання та підвищення кваліфікації на базі Регенбурзького центру біомедичної інженерії (Німеччина), Університету Лідз (Великобрітанія), Південно-Каліфорнійського Університету (США).
З 2018 року працює викладачем кафедри Біобезпеки та здоров’я людини та викладає наступні дисципліни: Фізична терапія, ерготерапія при порушеннях опорно-рухового апарату; Фізична терапія, ерготерапія при захворюваннях опорно-рухового апарату; Технології побудови індивідуальних програм фізичної терапії при поліорганній патології та політравмі.
Lazarev Igor Albertovich
Senior Lecturer of the Department of Biosafety and Human Health, Faculty of Biomedical Engineering, National Technical University of Ukraine «Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute», Ph.D. in Medical Science
In 1983, he graduated with honours from Kirovograd Mukhin Medical School with a degree in paramedic. In the same year, he entered the medical faculty of the Poltava Medical Stomatological Institute. From 1984 to 1986, he performed military service.
After graduating from the institute in 1991, he completed an internship at the Trauma Department and the Department of Bone and Purulent Surgery of the Kirovograd Regional Hospital. After completing his internship, he worked as a traumatologist at the polyclinic, trauma centre and trauma department of the Poltava City Hospital and the Kirovohrad Emergency Hospital. From 1996 to 1998, he studied in clinical residency at the Kyiv Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education under the programme of training of the medical reserve of the Ministry of Health for work in foreign countries.
From 1998 to 2001, he studied for a postgraduate degree at the Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. In 2001, he was elected to the position of junior researcher, and in 2007 – senior researcher of the Institute’s Rehabilitation Department. His work consisted of providing consultative outpatient and inpatient care and rehabilitation measures for patients with orthopaedic and traumatological profile. While working in the rehabilitation department, he mastered all methods of rehabilitation treatment. He took part in research and development work and preparation of scientific documentation.
In 2006 he defended his thesis on the topic: ‘Kinesiotherapy of patients with lumbar spine osteochondrosis’, and in March 2007 he received a PhD in Orthopedics and Traumatology.
From 2009 to 2022, he held the position of Head of the Biomechanics Laboratory at the Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine. His work included consulting, biomechanical studies of orthopedic and traumatological patients, kinesiotherapy and biomechanical correction of diseases and deformities of the musculoskeletal system, experimental and research work in the preparation of applicants for the defence of doctoral and candidate dissertations. He was a member of the Institute’s pre-defence board for doctoral and candidate dissertations.
From 2022 to 2024, he worked as a contract researcher at the Laboratory of Biomechanics at the East Bavarian University of Applied Sciences (OTH Regensburg). He performed project work on scientific research in the field of musculoskeletal modelling.
From 2023 to 2024, he worked as Deputy Director for Research at the Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of DNMU. He participated in the implementation of research works, preparation of scientific documentation.
He is a full member of the European Society of Biomechanics (ESB), the German Society of Biomechanics (DGFB) and the Ukrainian Association of Orthopaedics & Traumatologists (UAOT). He is included in the database of experts of the Ukrainian Institute of Scientific and Technical Expertise and Information for the Analysis of Scientific and Technical Works, reviewers of scientific journals CURRENT MEDICAL IMAGING and TECHNOLOGY AND HEALTH CARE.
Over the entire period of his scientific work, he has published more 200 papers. He is the author of 10 patents, 6 methodological recommendations and co-author of 5 monographs.
He has repeatedly participated in scientific and practical conferences, congresses and symposia in Ukraine and abroad. He took training and advanced training courses at the Regenburg Centre for Biomedical Engineering (Germany), the University of Leeds (UK), and the University of Southern California (USA).
Since 2018, he has been working as a lecturer at the Department of Biosafety and Human Health and teaches the following disciplines: Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy for Musculoskeletal Disorders; Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy for Diseases of the Musculoskeletal System; Technologies for Building Individual Physical Therapy Programmes for Multiple Organ Pathology and Polytrauma.
