Academic mobility provides students with the opportunity to study, intern and conduct research in another institution of higher education or a scientific institution in the territory of Ukraine or abroad. Academic mobility differs from traditional foreign internships, first of all, in that during studies in academic mobility projects, students study fully, not only study the language and individual disciplines, but also complete a full semester or year course, which is credited to them after returning to the basic Higher education institutions.

Academic mobility is one of the priority directions of KPI named after Igor Sikorsky with the aim of deepening the internationalization and integration of applicants into the Ukrainian and international educational and scientific space, improving the quality of education and the effectiveness of scientific research, as well as ensuring the competitiveness of specialists in the market of educational services.

The main types of academic mobility at KPI named after Igor Sikorsky:

degree mobility – studying at a partner organization, different from the permanent place of study of the participant of the educational process, with the aim of obtaining a degree of higher education, which is confirmed by a document (documents) on higher education or on obtaining a degree of higher education from two or more partner organizations;

credit mobility – study at a partner organization, different from the permanent place of study of the participant of the educational process, with the aim of obtaining credits of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (hereinafter referred to as ECTS) and/or relevant competencies, learning outcomes (without obtaining ECTS credits), which will recognized in the partner organizations of the permanent place of study of the participant of the educational process, provided that the total period of study for the participants of the credit mobility programs in the partner organizations that directs the mobility program remains unchanged.

As part of the international academic mobility of students who are going to study abroad, they can be enrolled without resubmitting the results of their studies in foreign universities. That is, having correctly selected courses at foreign universities and successfully passing their exams, you will not have to pay arrears at KPI named after Igor Sikorsky.

Students of the Department of Biosafety and Human Health have the opportunity to be selected under the Erasmus+ academic mobility program and study or undergo an internship at leading universities in Europe and the world.
